FinTech Monthly Review July 2018

Key Highlights

  • FinTech M&A is on pace for a record year as several multi-billion dollar transactions in Q2 2018 lifted the year-to-date volume above full year 2017’s total
  • Rising trade tensions between the U.S. and its major trading partners continue to weigh on companies’ purchasing and investment decisions globally, dragging down major equity indices and boosting volatility
  • In June, the yield on 10-Year U.S. Treasuries scaled back from 3.1% in May – the highest level since July 2011 – as slower global growth and increased geopolitical risk drove investors towards U.S. government debt
