Based in New York, Daniel is a Managing Director at DCS Advisory, where he heads the firm’s North American Financial Sponsors Group. He brings 30 years of investment banking experience from executing transactions valued at more than USD 40 billion over the course of his career. Daniel has worked at bulge-bracket firms, global banks and boutique merchant banks and has represented the interests of a broad range of clients ranging from family-run companies to large-cap multi-national organizations. As Head of the North American Financial Sponsors Group, Daniel is responsible for delivering the expertise and resources of DCS Advisory and the power of the Daiwa Securities Global Network to financial sponsors throughout the North American middle market.
Prior to DCS Advisory, Daniel was the Founder and Managing Partner of Spinnaker Capital Advisors (SCA), an advisory firm focused on the M&A and capital-raising needs of media companies. During its 12 year history, SCA closed more than USD 600 million of M&A, capital-raising and financial advisory transactions.
Before founding SCA, Daniel was a Managing Director in Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking Group, where he specialized in media M&A. Prior to that, he spent five years in Merrill Lynch’s media investment banking group. Daniel started his career at Salomon Brothers Inc.
Daniel holds a B.S. in Finance and Management Science & Statistics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.
