Knowlarity Communications raises Series C round of $20 million, led by Delta Partners
Signal Hill India is pleased to announce that its client Knowlarity Communications, Asia’s largest cloud telephony company, has raised a $20 million Series C round led by Dubai-based private equity firm Delta Partners, with participation from existing investors Sequoia India and Mayfield Fund.
The involvement of Delta Partners, which has a deep domain expertise in technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) in the Middle East and Africa, and the continued active support from its existing investors underline the trust Knowlarity has generated in the Asia market. The funds raised will be used by Knowlarity to expand into other international markets, make acquisitions, and invest in advanced technology products for its customers.
“The Signal Hill team has been a long-term partner for us since our Series B round which we closed in 2014,” said Ambarish Gupta, CEO of Knowlarity. “We are happy about the quality of investors that they have been able to bring to the table, and are excited to now have a domain specialist investor like Delta Partners on our board. We highly recommend Signal Hill for their sharp focus on TMT investment banking.”
“We are excited to have acted as the financial advisor on this Series C round of financing for Knowlarity, after having worked with them for their earlier funding round as well,” said Klaas Oskam, Managing Director at Signal Hill India. “This transaction is testimony to the fact that quality businesses with strong underlying unit economics will continue to find growth capital even amidst more challenging funding environments. Kudos to Ambarish and his team on achieving this major milestone, which will enable Knowlarity to further cement its market leading position in the Indian cloud telephony market as well as accelerate its international expansion.”
